Fermat drilling machines

The floor type drilling machines have spindle diameters of 130-160 mm, Y-movement is available in 2-10 m and a load capacity of up to 100 tons is available on a 4000×4000 mm round table. In turn, the machines of the table model start from 100 mm spindle diameters up to 160 mm, X-movement 1250-6100 mm, Y-movement is available 1250-4000 mm and load capacity up to 50 tons for a round table. CNC circular grinding machines are always manufactured by Fermat for workpiece sizes Ø 1000 mm, length 6000 mm and weight 5000 kg.

History of Fermat

Fermat started its operations by specializing in the modernization of used Czech sewing machines in cooperation with a very well-known drilling machine manufacturer. The company developed its own spindle box expertise in connection with the modernizations, after which it designed a completely new type of modern spindle box structure. The Fermat spindle boxes are therefore very efficient, quiet and easy to maintain.

A new kind of drilling machine concept

After that, Fermat made a strategic decision to invest in the development and manufacture of its own range of CNC drilling machines, which it has gained over the years with significant experience and know-how. However, this was preceded by an introduction to the machines and technologies of the world’s leading drilling machine manufacturers, from which they selected the best. The result is a high-quality, high-performance, high-precision drilling machine collection that they have expanded and developed year after year.

Eight factories

Fermat also manufactures machines that are highly tailored to the customer’s needs, as well as special solutions equipped with, for example, a turning table. In addition to high-quality machines, the company is able to offer very competitive prices as well as short delivery times. Fermat has grown very strongly and currently employs about 650 people and has a turnover of about 65 million euros. It has approximately 33,200m² of premises in five different countries, eight different cities and the main factories in Prague and Brno, Czech Republic.
