THE WORLD ‘S FIRST MULTIFUNCTION LATCH
MAS manufactured the world’s first multifunctional lathe already in 1981. Today, its MULTICUT series multifunctional lathes succeed in e.g. turning, 5-axis milling, threading, drilling, reaming, gearing, keyway punching and measuring. The goal is to complete even the most complex workpieces at once, which radically improves their throughput time and accuracy. Similarly, material flows are simplified and working capital tied up in inventory is reduced when work in progress is not transferred from one machine to another. The need for fasteners, settings, tools and machine operators is also dropping significantly. For example, the production time of a customer’s crankshaft dropped from 92 hours to 20.5 hours, which means that 3.5 units were produced in the same time and one quarter of the workforce.
MASTURN series horizontal lathes are popular in single piece and in small series production e.g. for workshop and maintenance use due to their ease of use. They can be operated either like a manual lathe or using ready-made CNC control cycles.
The MCU VT-5X Series 5-axis machining centers are also capable of full-weight turning. The closed special design of the 700,000 kg and the 1,100 model 35,000 kg high-strength cast frames enables extreme precision.
SEVERAL MULTIFUNCTION TURNING DELIVERIES TO SCANDINAVIA
The heavy-duty multifunction lathes of the MAS MULTICUT series have become very popular and several have also been delivered to Scandinavia. The maximum turning diameter of the machines is 1150 mm and the length is 6100 mm. The weight of the workpiece can be up to 4000 kg. The tool spindle speed can be selected from 3500-12000 rpm as well as power 25-38 kW and torque 119-242 Nm. 66, 120 or 180 tools are available as standard in the magazine.

5-AXIS TURNING MULTIFUNCTION CENTERS
MAS also manufactures high-performance MCU VT-5X series 5-axis machining centers capable of full-weight turning.
There are two size classes: X-movement = 700 mm (largest workpiece Ø 1000 x 500 mm) and X-movement = 1100 mm (Ø 1250 x 1000 mm). The spindle torque of the POWER PLUS version is 654 Nm and 320 tool positions are available in the tool magazine if required. The closed special design of the 700,000 kg and the 1,100 model 35,000 kg high-strength cast frames enables extreme precision.
EXTENSIVE MACHINE CENTER PALETTE
MAS manufactures horizontal and vertical spindles as well as portal machining centers. In the MMC series portal machining centers, the Y movement is 1500 mm, the Z movement is 1000 mm and the X movement is available up to 4 meters, and the spindle revolutions can be selected between 8000-18000 1 / min. The MCV series vertical spindle machining centers offer spindle options up to 24,000 rpm and 45 kW, and X-movement is available from 754 to 1270 mm. MAS manufactures MCH series horizontal spindle centers in three pallet sizes 500×500, 630×630 and 800×800 mm, with spindles selectable from 6000-10000 1 / min.
Known for its state-of-the-art machines, MAS casts the bodies of its machines in the company's own foundry in the Czech Republic. This ensures their vibration-free operation as well as the machining accuracy of the finished machines.

They can be operated either like a manual lathe or using ready-made CNC control cycles. Tip spacing is available in 4500 mm and turning diameters up to 820 mm.
GLOBAL OPERATOR
The globally operating MAS employs a total of 820 people in the Czech Republic, Poland and Russia and exports about 70% of its production to more than 50 different countries. It has very strong and versatile CNC control expertise, making Fanuc, Heidenhain and Siemens controls available for its machines.
